The Artist

For the past six years, I have been a Pre-Kindergarten teacher for a Christian-based preschool in Granbury, Texas. During the Covid-19 quarantine period, I began to busy myself by practicing with various art mediums. I particularly fell in love with colored pencils and began creating portraits for my friends.

I received such positive responses that I began to work full-time producing a wide variety of pieces most of which are faith based. The collection has grown to include portraits, pets, children, scripture verses, and more.

I was recently given the opportunity to display and sell my artwork during the 2021 season of The Promise in Glen Rose, which is the story of Jesus Christ magnificently performed at the outdoor Texas Amphitheater in Glen Rose, Texas. Many of my pieces include scenes from past season performances.

I work mostly in colored oil and wax-based pencils, but have been expanding my practice to include watercolor, gouache, graphite, and pen and ink.

The Author

I have been an Early Childhood Educator for many years and the Pre-Kindergarten teacher at a Christian-based preschool in Granbury, Texas, for the past six years. Working in a classroom setting gave me the inspiration for my children’s books. The first one written was actually based on a child in my class.

Several of my books are faith-based and all of them teach a message to young children. Written with the very young child in mind, my books touch on subjects like friendship, following directions, being thankful, and facing fears.
